Love sewing, crocheting, knitting? Care and love of sewing, crocheting, and knitting have been combined into a prayer ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Comfort dolls are made and given to the Fire department, Police Department, Hospital and Emergency Medical Services, and other professional organizations that care for traumatized children.  Many Blessings are sewn/crocheted into every item made with prayers for the recipient. When the items are completed it is offered a final Blessing at the Eucharist before being sent along its way.

Weeping Willow Children's Ministry

Where children have a need, the Weeping Willow Children's Ministry is there to serve. Our projects to date include making hand-knit  or hand-crochet blankets, hats, scarves, and mittens; and sewing quilts and pocket pillows, which we then fill with toys and treats for our local children's abuse treatment center.  Many of these children are taken from their homes without any possessions and the small gifts we make - we hope, will show them they are loved and give them the feeling of a warm hug from God.

Manna House

The Liberty County Manna House was established in 1992 as a local food and clothing bank. They are located next to the local library in downtown Hinesville, GA. They currently serve in excess of one thousand individuals monthly, providing emergency grocery assistance at no cost to needy citizens of many counties in Georgia.  Clientele include low-income families, low-income seniors, unemployed and underemployed, and disabled citizens who are in need of food. The soup kitchen serves prepared meals on Monday – Friday from 4:30 - 6:00pm to the homeless and others in need of daily nutrition. Funded through private donations from churches, civic organizations, businesses, and individuals, Manna House is a local help agency for The United Way of the Coastal Empire.
